Forest School is coming to Bowerham Kids Club during termtime!

By 12th September 2017General

This summer we enjoyed welcoming Hannah Ehlert to Bowerham Kids Club to provide some exciting forest school activities for our children. Hannah is an OCN-accredited Forst School leader and is first aid qualified, DBS checked and fully insured. It was such a success that we have decided to extend this provision and we will be offering a limited number of forest school places during term time, on a Friday afternoon.

Forest School in the summer was such a success that we have decided to extend this provision and we will be offering a limited number of forest school places during term time, on a Friday afternoon.

If you attend Kids Club on a Friday there will be no extra cost for your child to attend forest school but you will need to sign them up for a place in advance. Initially, we’ll be offering this to children in Year 3 and above and it will be limited to 15 places.

Forest school offers inspiring outdoor learning experiences to children and it’s held in the wood just down from the back gate at Bowerham. We do all sorts of fun and exciting things including stalking, exploring, seasonal crafts, bushcraft, fairy gardens and nature art, den building, fire lighting, hand tools, willow weaving and making a rope swing!

Forest School will start on Friday 22nd September 2017 and will take place every other Friday. If you would like a place for your child please let Suzannah know.
